Youth subcultures and current fashion ideas

The styles shown I want to include in my music video, like the twiggy images with the different colours used on them, I want to recreate this. I also like the dress sense of the 60's and will perhaps include this theme with mise-en-scene.

ABC Project

For this induction project I learnt how to change the contrast of the picture and how to move things on and off screen. I found this useful as I now know how to do these things and can use them for the music video if i wish to.

I love the simplicity of this video, a man acting odd is bound to make people want to watch it. I love how different it is compared with the 'typical' music video where the singer is portrayed as cool and normal. It has nothing to do with the song which I think is also quite interesting because then people aren't spoon fed the information and point to the video.

I like the way this video starts with the camera looking through a mirror like object at the singer. The lighting used in this video is also quite nice.

I like the old style this band represents themself in, they use alot of slide transition and duplicate video images.

I like the stop motion in this video, the images relate to what is being sung.

In this music video, there are frequent close up shots of the singer as he sings the lyrics, with frequent cuts and the camera slowly easing in. I find that the effect of doing this helps to get the bands message across about the song title.
There are powerful scenes in the video, like the black and white shots of the children acting in a prisoner kind of situation. The images turn into stills where the 'bully' kids are beating the powerless ones.

Transition music video

To edit this music video I used Adobe Premier Pro. Whilst editing this movie I learnt how to animate titles and synchonise music with a motion picture. Having used this program before, I found that most of the editing techniques I already knew, I gained more experience and was able to perfect some of the skills I already knew.

To begin with we each decided to lip-sync the whole song in turn. This way we have enough footage to work with in the singing part. We then took turns in jumping out behind objects to add comic value to the film. To make the film better we could have filmed more so we had more footage to use overall.
